MANILA, Philippines–Filipino prospect Jayr Raquinel went into the enemy’s territory and took home the WBC Continental Americas super flyweight title on Sunday.
Coming into the fight as the underdog, Raquinel stunned home bet Yahir Frank on points to silence the crowd in Hermosillo, Mexico.

Raquinel chalked up his fifth consecutive victory and the second straight time he beat an opponent on his own turf after he stopped former title contender Komgrich Nantapech of Thailand five months ago in Bangkok.
