Despite already doing a few projects abroad, Lovi Poe admitted that she still gets “shy” whenever people would call her a Hollywood actress, saying that there’s little difference for her as an actress whether doing films for an international audience or locally.
“I think I consider myself just an actress in general… It’s like, for me, I’m an actress and ‘yun nahihiya ako, but that’s how I see myself, really, and I could be acting anywhere; I’m always here,” she told Boy Abunda after she was asked why she gets uncomfortable whenever she gets referred to as a Holywood actress.
Article continues after this advertisementPoe, nonetheless, noted the difference between Hollywood and local productions, explaining that the former kind of leans into “something that’s a bit more subtle.”

Poe previously starred in “The Chelsea Cowboy,” a biopic based on the life of actor, gangster, and a lothario named John Bindon, alongside Alex Pettyfer, Poppy Delevingne, and Charlie Creed-Miles.

The untitled film is due to film in Dallas, Texas, later this year, and per Deadline, the plot is based on the true story of Paul Fullerton, a decorated Native American who had a run-in with the law.
Meanwhile, Poe is currently in the Philippines, promoting her upcoming “Guilty Pleasure” with actors JM De Guzman and Jameson Blake.
