MANILA, Philippines — Biñan Tatak Gel barged into the 2024 Maharlika Pilipinas Volleyball Association (MPVA) semifinals after making quick work of AM Caloocan at home, 25-23, 26-24, 25-16, on Tuesday night at Alonte Sports Arena in Laguna.
Shane Carmona sizzled with 17 points, nailing 16 kills and an ace to deliver the Volley Angels’ fourth straight win and become the third team to enter the semis with a 10-5 record after beating the visitors in just 80 minutes,
Article continues after this advertisementBiñan joined Quezon (13-1), which already secured the No. 1 seed and the first twice-to-beat bonus, and Rizal (10-4) in the semifinals with only one up spot left among three remaining contenders in the two-round MPVA founded by former Senator and also MPBL chairman Manny Pacquiao and organized by the Volleyball Masters of the Philippines.

Aguilar delivered 13 points, while Nuique added 12 as Caloocan’s chances to the Final Four continue to fade with a 5-7 record.
