Maymay Entrata — while donning a wedding gown-inspired dress adorned with white pigeons at the Opulence Ball — declared that she’s happily married to herself and she’s on a path toward self-love.

Describing her Neric Beltran gown at the Opulence Ball on Thursday, October 31, Entrata told reporters that she sees 2024 as the year she decided to love herself more.

The actress-singer — who said she’s happily single — said it took time for her to fully understand what self-love meant, especially since she’s one to give so much of herself when it comes to love.

Entrata was previously in a relationship with a non-showbiz Canadian guy named Aaron Haskell. She has since unfollowed Haskell on Instagram since March 2024.

“When you love, you get empty, right? That’s when I realized that you have to love yourself first before loving someone else. I didn’t arrive at this point on my own. I also arrived at this point because of God. If you can remember, I was baptized last April, so that’s where it started. I’m still in the process, but at least, I can pull through,” she said.

The “Pinoy Big Brother” alum was then asked about her appearance at the Recording Academy’s “It Goes to 11” series last October, to which she admitted, that she was almost on the verge of tears at the time.

“I was invited by the Recording Academy to be part of it. As I was entering its headquarters, I felt like crying. I was already controlling my tears at the time. It’s rare to have this kind of opportunity, so why not take advantage of it?” she said.

Meanwhile, P-pop powerhouse BINI appeared on its “12 Rising Girl Groups to Know Now” list while several Filipino acts were featured on its “14 Pinoy Pop Acts You Should Know” story.
